It’s always an honour to work with someone whose work you’ve admired for many years, so when the opportunity arose to collaborate with the very talented Patricia Cornwall we jumped at the chance. Our friend and wonderful PR guru Johanna Whitehead mentioned to us at a party that one of her clients needed some design work for an ad campaign in New York and LA but we had no idea it would be for the literary legend herself. We’ve been engrossed by the Scarpetta novels ever since Post Mortem and it was a real honour to work with her on the campaign for her book Ripper.
This was a really personal project for Patricia and she knew exactly what she wanted for the artwork and we were able to build the billboard campaign from artwork supplied to us by the publisher Amazon. As you can see it was a simple yet bold campaign with Patricia stood back-to-back with the man she believes was Jack the Ripper.
It was especially satisfying to know that the ads would be in Times Square in New York and prominent in LA. We quickly followed this up with a London campaign in mainline stations and the London gateway which you can see below in the video.
