THE CAMPER BOOTH

Branding, Logo
The Project

This was one of those jobs that was just great from start to finish, when the client is someone you’ve worked with and think they’re ace and when it all comes together really quickly and everyone is happy.
When I was looking for a wedding photographer for my own wedding a few years back I was looking for a certain style and to have a rapport with them ahead of the big day and boy did she do that.

Caitlin Mogridge is one of those effortlessly lovely people who is just really great to be around, really good at her job and really creative too. So when she called me and asked if I’d help her with a little project to go alongside her photography business there was no way I was saying no.

Caitlin owns a beautiful VW bus that she now uses as a Photo Booth at weddings and wanted a logo for the van and also a sign that she could have perched outside that would entice people in and that could also fold up in the van and be stored away easily.

We quickly nailed the logo a simple scripted font slightly tweaked sitting between the fabulous Brandon Grotesque and then set about building the sign out of pallet wood. We decided on white and grey and then bought some battery powered lights to surround the logo. In hindsight these might not have been powerful enough but at the time Caitlin wasn’t sure if she’d be able to have a power source to run the lights.

It’s great being able to step away from the screen and create something with your hands that people will view in real life and not just on a phone or monitor. Do check out Caitlin’s work here and also her new zero waste store Waste Not.
